Three decades of Log and Timber Home shows

You may have asked yourselves “Where did the time go?”  I certainly have as I look back at the fresh face going into the Atlanta log and timber home show in the mid 90’s.  Much has changed, much has remained the same.

When I “re-invented” myself from a Fortune 500 corporate account manager to an entrepreneurial log home designer/builder little did I know of the challenges in front of me.  My first show was exciting.  The exhibit hall was filled with milled and handcrafted log home manufacturers, timber frame companies, and a bounty of providers of wood stains, antler chandeliers, roofing materials, rustic furniture and just about anything else that one could consider a necessity for your new log home.  I was pumped.

Fast forward to 2018, and the show goes on….but with a bit more maturity.  The log home industry survivors of the 08/09 recession have emerged much wiser and more capable to help you navigate the many tasks necessary to piece together a log home supplier, designer, builder, and banker.  We are the team.  We must each add value to bring your log home in on budget and on time.

So, I invite you to come see me at the Atlanta Log and Timber Home Show on March 3rd and 4th at the Infinite Energy Center.  You will find my smiling face in Booth 527, under the Modern Rustic Homes/Jim Barna Log and Timber Homes sign.
